Chequered Flag International is pleased to offer this 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 455 Convertible. Factory original "U" code 455cid, dual exhaust with Torqueflite Automatic. This stunning Cutlass Supreme has been restored in it's original Olds colors of Saturn Gold Poly with White top and interior as stated on the Data Plate. Factory Air Conditioned. By 1972, these base 455's put out only about 250hp due to emissions regulations. However when the motor of this car was rebuilt, 10:1 high-compression pistons and a 442 camshafts were employed along with MSD ignition making for about 360hp. Since these 455 cars carry no exterior badging, this car is now the ultimate "sleeper". But anyone who hears the low rumble from the dual exhaust as you pull away from a traffic light will know that this Cutlass has some something serious under the hood! Front disc brakes, along with rear axle control arms and front and rear sway bars from a 442 complete the list of upgrades. As-new #2 condition throughout...essentially flawless. Everything works...even the clock. Air blows cold, of course. Power top works just as it should. Runs and drives beautifully...just as it did when it was new 35 years ago.
