FLAG INTERNATIONAL, established
in 1986, is located in beautiful Marina del Rey, California, just
minutes west of Los Angeles.
We are a group of dedicated car enthusiasts and classic car dealers, who for the last twenty
years have been sourcing and supplying quality classic, exotic, and
luxury automobiles to customers around the world. We have extensive
contacts throughout the California car community, and can usually
locate any car that is not already in our million dollar inventory.
LOCATION Marina del Rey is a resort area in Los Angeles,
approximately three miles north of Los Angeles International airport.
There is plenty of reasonably priced accommodations in the vicinity,
where one can expect to find a reasonable room for around fifty dollars
per night. Please feel free to contact us
if you are planning a visit and wish us to make a reservation for
you.
INVENTORY We maintain an up to
date listing of all our cars. Our inventory currently stands at around
one hundred cars. Except for exceptional circumstances, every car
on our list is physically in our possession. Should you not see the
car you are seeking, please feel free to contact us with your needs,
we will put you into our computer system and contact you when the
car you desire is available.
PRICING We try to price the cars
as fairly as possible. When buying a car for export from the USA one
pays no local or state sales taxes. Discounts are available for multiple
car purchases.
CONDITION OF CARS California is
a dry state, so rust is not usually a problem with cars. However when
buying thirty or forty year old vehicles, do expect to see some minor
surface corrosion. We sell cars in every condition, from unrestored
to perfect condition. However, when buying less expensive cars, please
bear in mind the following: There is no annual safety inspection in
California, so especially if you are in Europe, where there are stringent
safety standards, please expect to have to spend some money on reconditioning
(suspension, brakes etc.). Obviously if we are aware of a problem
with a car we will advise you in advance.
PAYMENT for cars can be made in
several ways. Firstly, if you are planning to visit us you may wish
to bring travellers checks or cash with you (U.S.dollars!) We can
also accept smaller payments on Visa and Mastercard. When buying a
car over the telephone, our customers usually wire transfer funds
to our bank.

SHIPPING is available to any destination
world wide through a well respected shipping company. In most circumstances
the cars are packed into containers and secured in wooden frames to
minimise the possibility of damage. The cost of shipping an average
sized car to Antwerp, for instance, is US$1000. This price includes
all costs from our showroom to the port of Antwerp. There is also
optional insurance available at a cost of 1.5% of the value of the
car. All shipping and insurance costs are usually paid on arrival
of the car. The typical journey time from Los Angeles to most European
destinations is five weeks, including time for packing, loading and
unloading.
CONSIGNMENTS We are always looking
for good quality classics or modern performance cars, so if you would
like us to sell your vehicle, please contact
us and we can discuss your options. If you are looking to sell
an AC, Austin Healey, Alfa Romeo, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Jaguar, Jensen,
Lotus, Mercedes Benz, Porsche, Triumph or any other classic sports
